The 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) started from the 7th to 11th of August, 2023 at twelve (12) examination centers in the Municipality.

The West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) started from the 31st July to 26th September, 2023 in ten examination centers in the Municipality.

It is the core mandate of the Department of Social Welfare and Community Development (SWCD) to protect and promote the right of women against domestic violence in the municipality.

In a bid to foster inclusivity and empower marginalized groups, the Department of Social Welfare and Community Development at the Bekwai Municipal Assembly organized an advocacy program aimed at enhancing the participation of women and girls with disabilities in decision-making processes.
