The Directorate has organized a Subject-Based Professional Learning Community (SBPLC) for Basic School teachers in the Municipality from 13th to 27th February 2024. The training was conducted in cohorts to ensure focused and effective learning.
The initiative followed observations by SISO’s and trekking officers during routine school monitoring, which revealed that some teachers faced challenges in teaching certain strands of the Common Core Programme (CCP) curriculum. The refresher training aims to strengthen teachers’ understanding and delivery of the curriculum.
The first SBPLC session was held on 13th February 2024 at the Anglican Church, Bekwai, providing teachers with practical guidance and strategies to improve classroom instruction and enhance learning outcomes.
