The Municipality Education Directorate is one of the forty three (43) MMDEs in the Ashanti Region. Out of this Directorate the following districts were carved.
The Municipal Education Office is situated at the Asokwa Tumsuom electoral area; shares boundaries with the Bekwai Electricity Company of Ghana and Bekwai Magistrate Court with GPS Address AB-0004-8484.

MISSION STATEMENT
To provide relevant and quality pre-tertiary education to all children through equitable distribution of resources, monitoring and supervision in collaboration with stakeholders to enable them acquire skills that will equip them to be productive, honest and dedicated citizens to facilitate poverty reduction and promote the socio-economic growth and development of the country.
