The Municipal Education Directorate in collaboration with USAID Learning on 1st July, 2022 organized a reading festival for seven (7) non GALOP schools in the Municipality. Below were the participating schools and students presented;

At the end of the festival, Justice Acheampong, Nana Opoku Nhyira, Ellen Boamah and Ellen Asare were selected to represent Bekwai at the Zonal Festival.

On 26th July, 2022 ten (10) Districts from the Adansi’s and Amansie met in Bekwai for the Zonal Festival. The Methodist Conference Hall and Anglican Church were the two centres used for the festival with the grand contest held at Methodist Conference Hall. The contest happened simultaneously at these centres after which the final contest was held at the Methodist Conference Hall.
