As Department of Social Welfare and Community Development of Bekwai Municipal, it is our core mandate to see to it that the living standards of people in the Municipalities are well improved and developed through Sensitization and Education program,
Development and Improvement is not about projects only but Education and Sensitization is a factor.
The Kyekyewere community per our investigations was found to be one of the communities with high teenage pregnancy cases.

On the 24th of May 2023, officers from the Department of Social Welfare and Community Development (SWCD) embarked on a one – day visit to Nkyekyem Community to educate them on Child Abuse; its Causes, Effects, Prevention and Interventions.
