The Kokofu Zonal Council of the Bekwai Municipal Assembly held its first meeting of the year at the historic Kokofu Manhene’s Palace on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.
The meeting brought together key stakeholders in the municipality, including the Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD), Ms. Sheila Rosetta Arthur, and the Municipal Planning Officer, Mr. Samuel Armah. Members of the Kokofu Zonal Council were also in full attendance.
Discussions centered on developmental priorities for the Kokofu area, with emphasis on community engagement, sanitation, and infrastructural planning. Ms. Arthur emphasized the Assembly's commitment to strengthening local governance and promoting participatory development at the zonal level.
Mr. Armah, the Planning Officer, outlined the municipality’s strategic plans for the year and encouraged members to contribute actively to policy direction and implementation.
The Kokofu Manhene’s Palace, a symbol of tradition and unity, served as a fitting venue for the meeting, reinforcing the collaboration between traditional authorities and the Municipal Assembly.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from all stakeholders to work together toward the socio-economic growth of Kokofu and the Bekwai Municipality at large.
