MCE COMMISSIONS CLASSROOM BLOCKS FOR SENFI AND BEKWAI METHODIST

The Bekwai Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Kwaku Kyei Baffour has commissioned and handed over new classroom blocks to the students and staffs of Senfi and Bekwai Methodist. On Wednesday 22nd June, 2022, a 2-Unit K.G block with ancillary facilities was handed over to the people of Senfi. The 3-Unit classroom block with ancillary was also handed over to Bekwai Methodist.

Addressing separate ceremonies to commission the projects, the MCE, Hon Kwaku Kyei Baffour said, the completion of these projects within a record time is an exhibition of the commitment and priority, the Nana Addo led administration has place on education. He also used that opportunity to urge the traditional leaders, teachers and parents to guide and strengthen the moral values of the schoolchildren whiles government continue to give priority to education and pupil in the country. Hon. Kwaku Kyei Baffour said the Assembly has a responsibility to provide a comfortable teaching and learning environment for the students, therefore the need for the construction of the classroom blocks.

The Municipal Education Director, Madam Leticia Obeng showed her appreciation to the Assembly, the MCE and the government as a whole for their dedication and contribution to the education sector most especially Bekwai Municipality. She also urged the various communities to extend a hand of friendship to teachers posted to them, so as to curb the syndrome of teachers refusing postings to some parts of the country. She then again encourages parents and guardians to enroll their children of school-going age in schools and also strive to get the best of education for their children.

The Chief of Senfi expressed his profound gratitude to the government for such kind gesture. They also used the opportunity to make other needs of the community known. One of which is an abandoned borehole in the community.
