In preparation for the upcoming National Farmers' Day celebration, the Bekwai Municipal Assembly (BMA) has received essential agricultural tools from the Bosomtwe Rural Bank. The support package, aimed at aiding local farmers in their efforts, includes items such as cutlasses and knapsack sprayers.
The donation was officially presented on Tuesday at a brief ceremony held at the forecourt of the BMA premises. Honorable Kwaku Kyei Baffour, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), accepted the items on behalf of the Assembly. He was accompanied by Ms. Sheila Rosetta Arthur, the Municipal Coordinating Director, alongside a team of BMA staff who witnessed the handover.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Baffour expressed gratitude to Bosomtwe Rural Bank for its continuous support and commitment to agricultural development in the municipality. He noted that the items would be instrumental in boosting productivity among local farmers, ensuring that they are equipped with necessary tools to enhance their work.
The donation comes as part of Bosomtwe Rural Bank's commitment to supporting rural development and empowering the agricultural community in Bekwai and surrounding areas.
