The Presiding Member (PM) of the Bekwai Municipal Assembly (BMA), Hon. Kofi Asante Bruce, convened the Third Ordinary General Assembly meeting of the first session of the ninth Assembly on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. The meeting, which took place at the Municipal Assembly Hall, brought together key stakeholders to discuss and approve critical initiatives for the municipality.
The meeting commenced with opening remarks from Hon. Kofi Asante Bruce, who welcomed participants and outlined the purpose of the assembly. The agenda for the day included the discussion and approval of the 2025 fee-fixing resolution, review and endorsement of the 2025 Annual Action Plan and 2025 Composite Budget, and the reading and acceptance of previous minutes.
A significant highlight of the meeting was the presentation of the Executive Committee Report by the Hon. Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Kwaku Kyei Baffour. Following the presentation, Assembly Members engaged in discussions to deliberate on the report and its implications for the development of the municipality.
The meeting concluded with closing remarks from the Hon. Presiding Member and the Hon. Municipal Chief Executive, both emphasizing the importance of collaboration and commitment to the growth of the Bekwai Municipality.
In attendance were the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Kwaku Kyei Baffour; the Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD), Ms. Sheila Rosetta Arthur; Assembly Members; and Heads of Departments of the Bekwai Municipal Assembly. Their active participation highlighted the collective dedication to governance and the development of the municipality.
The successful conclusion of the meeting marked an important step in planning and implementing policies for the year 2025, ensuring sustainable development and improved service delivery for the residents of Bekwai Municipality.
