As part of its activities in coordinating Ghana National Adaption Plan (NAP) across selected MMDAs, the government of Ghana through the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under the auspices of the Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESTI) on Thursday, 9th February, 2023 organized a one-day workshop at the Yeguaa International Hotel in the Bekwai township.
The engagement was to validate the vulnerability assessment report conducted over the past six (6) months and also to discuss strategies to mobilize local support for the adoption and implementation of the adaptation plan.
The Bekwai Municipal was fortunate to be among the initial (15) selected MMDAs to conduct a vulnerability assessment and development an adaptation plan to aid access to donor-funded projects in climate change at the local level.
