The Municipal Education Directorate on 19th and 20th March, 2024 organized an inter-school sporting competition for Kindergarten (KG) learners within the Municipality. The two-day event brought together a total of twenty (20) schools, comprising nineteen (19) public schools and one (1) private school.
The competition aimed at promoting physical development, teamwork, and social interaction among young learners in a fun and safe environment. Participating pupils competed in various age-appropriate sporting activities including football, sack race, bottle filling, relay (2 × 50 metres), lime and spoon race, among others.
The event was characterized by excitement, enthusiasm, and active participation from both learners and teachers, making it a memorable experience for all stakeholders involved.
