Beyond classroom instruction, the Directorate supported staff development through several administrative and welfare-focused workshops.

The Controller and Accountant General’s Department organized a validation workshop to address common payroll and data-entry errors by validators in the Municipality. In addition, GNAT in collaboration with the GES Occupational Pension Scheme (GESOP) held pension education workshops for selected teachers, focusing on Tier Three contributions, lump sum calculations, accessing member statements and updating records electronically.

Office staff of the Directorate also benefited from a workshop on the Ghana Education Workforce Initiative, which emphasized leadership improvement, teamwork, workforce diversity and improving education delivery for disadvantaged learners.
