The Bekwai Municipal Assembly on Wednesday, 21st January 2026, held its Municipal Planning Co-ordinating Unit (MPCU) meeting at the Assembly Hall to deliberate on key planning and development matters in the municipality.
In his remarks, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Salifu Issaka, highlighted the need for effective coordination among departments to ensure efficient service delivery. He emphasized the importance of accurately validating District Performance Assessment Tool (DPAT) indicators, noting that strong performance under the assessment framework is crucial for measuring institutional effectiveness and accessing development support.
The meeting reviewed and adopted previous minutes, discussed matters arising, and validated uploaded DPAT indicators. Heads of decentralized departments also presented reports on their activities, outlining achievements, challenges, and priority areas requiring attention.
The meeting was coordinated by the Municipal Co-ordinating Director, Mr. Petro P. Ankórle, who encouraged participants to strengthen collaboration and ensure timely implementation of programmes and projects. The session ended with a shared commitment to improving planning, accountability, and sustainable development in the Bekwai Municipality.
