A two-day workshop was organized in March 2024 for ten (10) School Improvement Support Officers (SISOs) at the GES ICT Centre, Bekwai, as part of efforts to strengthen instructional supervision and improve learning outcomes in schools.
The workshop focused on enhancing the capacity of SISOs to effectively support teachers in the implementation of Differentiated Learning Plus (DL+). Key topics discussed during the training included Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL), strategies for managing different class sizes, and the use of the DL+ online dashboard. Participants were also taken through the English and Mathematics assessment tools, the DL monitoring tool, as well as the DL+ Mathematics and English teaching guides.
The training provided practical insights and hands-on experience to enable SISOs to better monitor classroom instruction and support teachers in addressing diverse learner needs across schools in the Municipality.
