BEKWAI MUNICIPALITY HOLDS MUNICIPAL PLANNING AND COORDINATING UNIT MEETING

The Bekwai Municipal Assembly (BMA) convened its Municipal Planning and Coordinating Unit (MPCU) meeting on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at the Municipal Assembly Hall. The primary purpose of the meeting was to gather inputs from departmental heads for the preparation of the 2024 Annual Progress Report.

The meeting, which was chaired by the Municipal Coordinating Director, Ms. Sheila Rosetta Arthur, brought together all heads of departments in the Bekwai Municipality. Key discussions revolved around reviewing the previous minutes, assessing the performance of each department during the fourth quarter, and deliberating on the progress and execution of the Medium-Term Development Plan (MTDP).

As part of the meeting’s agenda, participants discussed the successes and challenges faced by various units in meeting their targets for the past quarter. The discussions also highlighted areas of improvement and how to enhance departmental coordination for more efficient service delivery in the upcoming year.

The MPCU meeting concluded with actionable resolutions to strengthen municipal development, with a clear focus on aligning performance with the long-term goals outlined in the MTDP. Ms. Arthur emphasized the importance of collaboration and transparency in achieving the Municipality's strategic objectives.
